Maintenance of Latex

A brief summary of how to wash latex, for the first use and long enjoyment

Take a large tub with lukewarm water. Add some drops of Begloss Special Wash in here. Wash your garments in them until they are completely talc-free, you should rinse a few times until the water is no longer brown or yellow, so that all talc of the latex has disappeared.

If your garments are clean, fill a tub with lukewarm water again and put two caps of Begloss Perfect Shine in here. Immerse your garments and pull through the tub, as you will see the silicone will automatically attach to your garment. With light garments it may seem that your garment is discolored, this disappears completely after drying, so do not be scared!

Shake the excess water from your garment after washing and lay it on a towel (bath towel) to dry, turn it inside out after drying and let it dry. You can hang small clothes, if the garment is too heavy you have to put it down. You will notice that your garment now has a small glossy protective layer, so you can even wear it without a dressing aid. For easy pulling on, use your dressing aid from Eros or Begloss Easy Glide. With the BeGloss Perfect Shine Spray and the Polish cloth you can polish your garment and shine anti-static.

Have you been a night out and you want to wash the smoke and party smell of your garment, just throw it in a tub and repeat the first steps. You can also take a shower with your latex on and wash your garment there. (another experience! 😉 For a completely hygienic wash I recommend BeGloss Clean & Care Spray this is a specially developed cleanser for Latex clothing with a disinfectant effect!

BEWARE!!!!  With oil, metals, perfumes and sunlight.
Latex and Oil are no friends of each other.

Metal can discolour latex, so beware with chains, clothes hangers, balustrades, or handcuffs …

Also in perfume can be oil or substances that are not friendly to latex.

You can sit in the sun with your latex clothes, no problem, but do not put your latex clothes in the sun too long. What you often see in shops, are damages (white rash) from hanging too long in UV light, so this is actually a kind of degeneration of the rubber.

Do you want to store your garment for a long time or have it repaired, Wash it in Dreft (detergent), with this you remove the silicone. Then talk it lightly and store it in a dark plastic bag. Latex with silicone is not allowed to glue.

Light garments may discolour when they come into contact with dark ones. Wash and store them separately, once discolored there is no way back!
